How long do botulinum toxin and dermal filler therapies last?

The results are variable and depend both upon the dose and the person. In general, botulinum therapies will last 3-6 months before a top up is required while dermal fillers will last slightly longer (6-9 months), though it depends on the sort used. It is important to also remember that botulinum toxin leaves the body within 24 hours, while it takes 14 days to achieve it's maximum affect. In contrast, the effect of dermal fillers is instantly visible but can take a week for the desired effect to become apparent.
